King Abdullah of Jordan calls for Israel to abandon its "fortress" mentality and negotiate with the Palestinians. How do you negoitate with a people who deny your right to exist?(Palestinian Media Watch -- Nearly 90% of Palestinian youth
deny Israel's right to exist). If you are surrounded by people who want to destroy you, isn't it prudent to be in or near a bunker? In order for their to be a prospect for peace, the Arab people have to be able to wholeheartedly accept the concept of territorial compromise, a concept that is totally missing from their lexicon (see the Saudi Arab reformer's poem at my posting yesterday, the "Silence that Kills", for more on the failings of the Arab world to cope with the rational world, as we see it).
