Israel withdrew form Gaza to give the Palestinians there a chance to make their lives better without interference, and they proceeded to elect Hamas democratically and to turn Gaza into a launching pad for endless rocket and terrorist assault on Israeli civilians. Anything the Israelis have done to the Palestinians have been in clear response to this provocation, but they cannot afford to let Hamas have a regrouping ceasefire -- they must now drive the battle home until the Palestinian people wake up and ask, "what has Hamas brought us?".
